Anthony, a popular technology-related Twitter account, drew our attention with a Tweet. They suggested that Apple is working on an iPhone SE Plus model with a 6.7-inch screen. They also suggest that this iPhone SE Plus model will be coming out alongside the iPhone SE 4, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, we are collecting reliable leaks about this. Design
This is something everyone is talking about. 2 popular leaks are out there about the design of the Apple iPhone SE 4. One group thinks that the SE 4 will obtain the same design language as iPhone XR. This is very plausible as SE 3 inherited the design language of the iPhone 8 previously in 2022. The iPhone SE 2 did the same in 2020. Moreover, people liked the iPhone XR as a budget iPhone. Apple always chooses such a design for its SE lineup.
Nevertheless, leaks suggest that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a new design just like the featured image of this article, which you are currently interested in. Well, if Apple goes with iPhone XR’s design language, be sure, we are stuck with the old 12 MP primary shooter. However, as leaks suggest otherwise, discussed in the Shooter section, we believe SE 4 will adopt a completely new design inspired by iPhone 16 base models with a vertical camera module like the iPhone XR.
The SE 4 will have an aluminum frame sandwiched by Corning® Gorilla® glass and protected by Apple’s Ceramic Shield. There is also a very high chance that the mute switch will be replaced by the Action button and a USB-C port will be there.
Display
Regarding the Apple iPhone SE 4’s display, we know very little. However, leaks suggest that this will be a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate. Nothing fancy but surely will look gorgeous. The actual display will be from Corning® Gorilla® glass (unknown version) and protected by Apple’s Ceramic Shield.
Shooters
Finally, Apple decided to put some thought into the cameras of the Apple iPhone SE 4. Hopefully, the SE 4 will receive a 48-MP wide-angle camera (f/1.6, 26mm, 1/1.56″, 1.0µm, dual-pixel PDAF, and sensor-shift OIS) as the primary shooter. This is the same primary camera of the iPhone 15 series. The iPhone SE 3 2022 had a 12 MP primary shooter. Hence, this seems a great upgrade.

Hardware
Apple iPhone SE 4 may be powered by either Apple’s A17 Pro (3 nm) or A16 Bionic (4 nm) SoC. As we are not getting any concrete leaks on this matter, we assume A17 Pro (3 nm) would be the pick by Apple.
Apart from that, the SE 4 may drop the 64 GB base model and start from 128 GB variants to up to 512 GB with 6 GB RAM across all the variants.
Battery
On the battery front, the Apple iPhone SE 4 has rumors of getting the iPhone 14’s 3279 mAh Li-Ion battery (A2863). As SE 3 received harsh criticism related to its battery life, Apple will surely improve the battery life of SE 4.
Price
You see, leaks suggest a lot of upgrades coming on the iPhone SE 4. Improved camera, new design, larger display, bigger battery, and more storage will cost you more. iPhone SE 4 will be more like a mid-range iPhone rather than a budget one. Therefore, the price of the Apple iPhone SE 4 will range between $450 to $550. For perspective, the iPhone SE 3 was priced at $429 back in 2022 and offered minor incremental upgrades from the iPhone SE 2.
Release date
Considering previous iPhone SE release dates (iPhone SE 3 in March 2022 and iPhone SE 2 in April 2020), the iPhone SE 4 may debut around March 2025 even though several rumors suggest March or April 2024. We have learned from a leak that SE 4 is “currently part of Apple’s new product planning for 2024/2025.” Korean media assured us that SE 4 will be pushed in 2025.
