Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been officially confirmed for release on November 14, 2025. Alongside the launch date, multiple leaks point to remastered maps, refined game modes, and the return of fan-favorite features.

Avalon

Avalon will serve as the final mission map in the campaign. What makes it unique is that the mission transitions into a 32-player multiplayer battle, a first for the franchise. Teams can consist of up to 4 players, and the 12th mission marks the final ground war in the story.

On top of that, if you or your squad is eliminated in Avalon, you lose all progress tied to your character. Worth mentioning, Avalon was initially designed with battle royale mechanics in mind.

Game Modes

Black Ops 7 will launch with 3 core game modes. All of which contribute to your overall progress, including weapon leveling, character growth, and the Battle Pass. Let’s check out the game modes.

  • Campaign
  • Multiplayer
  • Zombies

Remastered Maps

To honor its roots, Black Ops 7 is bringing back 3 remastered maps from Black Ops 2 (2012). These maps remain fan favorites and will return with modern visuals and mechanics:

  • Raid
  • Express
  • Hijacked

Specialist Abilities

Making a comeback after their absence since Black Ops 4, Specialist Abilities return in Black Ops 7. Players can select unique class-based skills, such as Active Camo or the Grappling Hook, adding tactical depth to multiplayer matches.

Weapons Leaked

Just a few hours before Gamescom Opening Night Live, several weapon details are leaked. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will feature legendary weapons from Black Ops 2. Fans are saying this “the biggest Call of Duty release of all time.” More on the weapons front, the popular Peacekeeper is coming. Here’s the list of leaked weapons:

  • Peacekeeper MK1
  • Cravec 45
  • VS Recon
  • Flatline MK II

Wrapping Up

Black Ops 7 is positioned as the direct sequel to Black Ops 6 (2024) and a spiritual continuation of Black Ops 2 (2012). With its futuristic setting, remastered classics, and innovative features like Avalon, the game is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious entries in the franchise yet.
