Samsung has officially confirmed the rollout of One UI 8 starting in early September 2025. After months of beta testing, Samsung fans can finally enjoy the latest version of its custom Android features.
September Release — One UI 8
The beta version of One UI 8 was released back in May 2025. Samsung was able to use the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra to test the new features. As a result, the Galaxy S25 series will be the first devices to receive the stable update in early September.
Following this, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be next in line. Their rollout is expected to be completed by late September. Will likely arrive with the September 2025 Security Patch, offering both new features and improved protection.
By the end of September, Samsung also plans to extend the beta testing program of One UI 8 to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy A-series 5G models. This extended beta program will cover India, South Korea, the UK, and the US, accessible through the Samsung Members app, with other persisting regions.
One UI 8 Later in 2025
Once the first rollout batch is complete, Samsung will shift its focus to the Galaxy Tab 10 series. By the end of 2025, all supported Galaxy devices are expected to receive One UI 8. Users should look out for software updates with the latest security patches and features. Also, regularly check the Samsung Members app for announcements moving forward.
Eligible Devices for One UI 8
Samsung has promised to push One UI 8 to all Galaxy S devices, including the Galaxy S21 FE. For the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 FE, this will be the final version of One UI. These devices will also receive One UI 8.5 in February 2026.
However, Android 16 will be the last OS update for both the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung will continue to provide 3 years of security updates. Sadly, these models will not get Android 17 or One UI 9 in 2026. Users who want to stay on the latest software should consider upgrading to newer Galaxy devices next year.
Wrapping Up
Samsung is ready to make September 2025 exciting with the official rollout of One UI 8. From smoother performance to stronger security, this update is designed to elevate the Galaxy experience for millions of users.
As the rollout expands, checking the Samsung Members app will be the best way to stay informed. Whether you are waiting for the stable version or joining the beta program, One UI 8 is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most powerful updates yet.
