The leaks surrounding Samsung’s 2026 flagship have been in overdrive, but the speculation can finally end. We have exclusive details on the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, and the news is significant.

For fans of the iconic stylus, the most important question has been answered. Furthermore, Samsung is preparing to introduce a major design evolution for its premier smartphone. Let’s dive into the specifics.

     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

The S Pen is Here to Stay

Recent speculation suggested that Samsung might be planning to drop the S Pen from the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This proved to be incorrect. A recent image shared by the renowned leaker Ice Universe (also known as PhoneArt on X/Twitter) clearly displays a prototype of the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a dedicated S Pen slot.

S26 Ultra Spen is still alive. pic.twitter.com/f6WdTc8U4M
— PhoneArt (@UniverseIce) September 6, 2025

This evidence effectively confirms that Samsung will continue the Galaxy Note’s legacy, solidifying the S Pen as a core feature of the Ultra series in 2026.

A Major Design Change — Embracing Rounded Corners

For the third time in the Galaxy Ultra’s history, Samsung is evolving its design language. Leaked side-by-side comparison images, courtesy of Holly – I like tech, show the Galaxy S26 Ultra next to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The difference is immediately apparent: the Galaxy S26 Ultra features prominently rounded corners, moving away from the sharp, boxy design that has defined its recent predecessors.

The S26 Ultras rounded corners omg 😭 pic.twitter.com/lIFvdW5Jvg
— Holly – I like tech (@AnxiousHolly) September 6, 2025

While the box-shaped design has many fans, this change is a strategic move. This new ergonomic approach offers several practical advantages.

<details class="wp-block-details is-style-default is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow" open>
Improved Ergonomics and Comfort

Devices with rounded corners are generally more comfortable to hold for extended periods. The smoother edges provide a better grip and reduce pressure points on the user’s palm.

</details>

<details class="wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow" open>
Enhanced Durability

Rounded corners are structurally more resilient. When a device is dropped, the curved surface helps to distribute the force of the impact more evenly, reducing the risk of significant damage. Sharp, angular corners tend to concentrate the entire impact force on a single point, making them more susceptible to cracks and dents.

</details>

<details class="wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow" open>
Superior UI/UX Synergy

The Android operating system, particularly Google’s Pixel line, heavily utilizes rounded corners within its user interface. By aligning the hardware design with the software’s aesthetic, Samsung can create a more cohesive and visually consistent user experience.

</details>

<details class="wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow" open>
Reduced Display Stress Points

On any display, sharp corners can become points of stress concentration. Over time, this can lead to the formation of microcracks. Displays with rounded edges mitigate this risk, offering a subtle but meaningful improvement in long-term durability.

</details>

     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

A New Era for the Camera Module

The design evolution extends to the camera system. The Galaxy Ultra’s distinctive five-camera layout appears to be ending with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The new design for the Galaxy S26 Ultra reportedly features a raised camera bump housing three primary lenses in a vertical stack. The other two sensors, along with the dual-tone LED flash, will be positioned in an adjacent column, sitting with the back of the device.

According to Ice Universe, this camera bump is a necessary trade-off for the device’s reduced overall thickness, which is rumored to be just 7.9 mm.

Q: Why does the Samsung S26 Ultra camera need a base?

A: It is known that the S25 Ultra has a body thickness of 8.2mm, and its camera does not have a base, with a protrusion height of 2.4mm. In contrast, the S26 Ultra is thinner at 7.9mm, which increases the camera protrusion… pic.twitter.com/GgCh3e0Hiw
— PhoneArt (@UniverseIce) September 6, 2025

Shooters with Upgrades

The camera hardware itself is receiving a major upgrade. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature an improved 200 MP wide-angle primary sensor with a much wider f/1.4 aperture. This represents a significant leap from the f/1.7 aperture on the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 200 MP sensor, allowing for a 47% increase in light intake. This will translate to dramatically improved low-light photography and overall image quality.

The supporting camera sensors are also impressive, including a 50 MP ultra-wide, a 50 MP periscope, and a 12 MP telephoto shooter.

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-5559692671600743"
     data-ad-slot="9778069398"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Same Battery, Smarter Power

Samsung plans to equip the Galaxy S26 Ultra with the same 5,000 mAh battery as its predecessor. The adjustments in the device’s size and the reduction in thickness leave no additional space for a larger battery cell.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup is here. 🚀

📱 S26 Pro → Compact & balanced
📱 S26 Edge → Slim with a 200MP punch
📱 S26 Ultra → The ultimate beast w/ S Pen + 4 cameras

Which one’s your pick? 👀 pic.twitter.com/a05jsz6d8V
— Sam Lover – Welcome to Samsung World (@SamLoverBlog) September 3, 2025

However, battery life is not expected to be a concern. Samsung is reportedly developing highly specific optimizations within Android 16 and One UI 8, tailored exclusively for the Galaxy S26 series. This software-first approach aims to maximize efficiency and ensure the device delivers competitive all-day battery performance.

Wrapping Up

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be the definitive fusion of the Galaxy Note and Ultra legacies. With a confirmed S Pen, a more ergonomic and durable design, and a powerful camera upgrade, the device promises to be a future-proof flagship. Stay connected for more updates as they emerge.

Samsung has officially confirmed the rollout of One UI 8 starting in early September 2025. After months of beta testing, Samsung fans can finally enjoy the latest version of its custom Android features.

September Release — One UI 8

The beta version of One UI 8 was released back in May 2025. Samsung was able to use the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra to test the new features. As a result, the Galaxy S25 series will be the first devices to receive the stable update in early September.

Following this, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be next in line. Their rollout is expected to be completed by late September. Will likely arrive with the September 2025 Security Patch, offering both new features and improved protection.

By the end of September, Samsung also plans to extend the beta testing program of One UI 8 to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy A-series 5G models. This extended beta program will cover India, South Korea, the UK, and the US, accessible through the Samsung Members app, with other persisting regions.

One UI 8 Later in 2025

Once the first rollout batch is complete, Samsung will shift its focus to the Galaxy Tab 10 series. By the end of 2025, all supported Galaxy devices are expected to receive One UI 8. Users should look out for software updates with the latest security patches and features. Also, regularly check the Samsung Members app for announcements moving forward.

Eligible Devices for One UI 8

Samsung has promised to push One UI 8 to all Galaxy S devices, including the Galaxy S21 FE. For the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 FE, this will be the final version of One UI. These devices will also receive One UI 8.5 in February 2026.

However, Android 16 will be the last OS update for both the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung will continue to provide 3 years of security updates. Sadly, these models will not get Android 17 or One UI 9 in 2026. Users who want to stay on the latest software should consider upgrading to newer Galaxy devices next year.

Wrapping Up

Samsung is ready to make September 2025 exciting with the official rollout of One UI 8. From smoother performance to stronger security, this update is designed to elevate the Galaxy experience for millions of users.

As the rollout expands, checking the Samsung Members app will be the best way to stay informed. Whether you are waiting for the stable version or joining the beta program, One UI 8 is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most powerful updates yet.

Comment below what your thoughts are.
Introduction to AMOLED

AMOLED is an advanced form of OLED display technology that powers some of the most stunning screens in today’s smartphones. The name AMOLED stands for Active-Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diodes, and it tells you two key things about the display:

Active Matrix: This is the electronic system that works behind the scenes to bring your display to life in real-time, ensuring smooth and responsive performance.

OLED: Stands for Organic Light Emitting Diodes, which are millions of tiny, individual LEDs that light up to produce vivid colors and sharp details on your screen.

The result? A display that offers deeper blacks, more vibrant colors, and incredibly energy-efficient performance.

AMOLED vs OLED

You might be wondering, what is the difference between AMOLED and OLED? The answer is simple: AMOLED is the updated, advanced version of OLED. It features a thinner, smaller, and more flexible structure, making it more efficient and versatile.

Because of these improvements, AMOLED screens are thinner and better suited for higher refresh rates. They are perfect for devices like foldable smartphones and deliver improved video and picture quality.

Other advantages of AMOLED displays include:

— Low power consumption
— More color accuracy
— The ability to display true pitch black
— Ultra-slim design
— Reduced blue light emission, making it easier on the eyes

In short, AMOLED offers a better viewing experience while being more energy-efficient and visually stunning.

Well, Samsung launched a new AMOLED display back in 2019, the Dynamic AMOLED display. Certain factors played a role in naming this new display as Dynamic AMOLED, such as HDR10+ certification for more brightness, color, and contrast. Worth mentioning that the dynamic AMOLED display is also certified by VDE Germany for 100% Mobile Colour Volume in the DCi-P3 colour range.

What is Dynamic AMOLED 2X?

Samsung did not just stop there, as the smartphone market is versatile. Samsung took their new AMOLED display and made it better, then named it the Dynamic AMOLED 2X. Well, there are some significant improvements seen in this display. Let’s dive into that.

DTM

This better AMOLED display has DTM (Dynamic Tone Mapping) that optimizes color and contrast to give a 100% accurate DCI-P3 color gamut. Therefore, you get to see cinema-grade videos and very sharp pictures without any distortions.

High refresh rate

The ‘2X’ part of the Dynamic AMOLED 2X display relates to the upgraded refresh rate from 60 Hz to an exceptional 120 Hz, ensuring super smooth scrolling and highly responsive movements – perfect for fast-paced gaming and multitasking. Screen flashing 120 times per second is super satisfying to look at.

     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Adaptive refresh rate

Samsung has taken display technology to the next level with Dynamic AMOLED 2X. One of its standout features is the dynamic refresh rate. This allows the display to adjust its refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz, depending on what you’re doing on the screen.

When you’re scrolling through content or watching something in motion, the display jumps to 120 Hz for smooth, ultra-responsive viewing. On the other hand, when you’re just reading or the screen is idle, it reduces the refresh rate to 1 Hz. Saves battery life.

Even better, most online videos run at 60 Hz, so when you’re watching one, the display automatically locks the refresh rate to 60 Hz, ensuring efficiency while delivering an excellent viewing experience.

It’s a clever way Samsung blends high performance with battery conservation — all while offering an exceptional display!

Adaptive brightness

In addition to all these features, Samsung has also made significant improvements to the brightness of its devices. The company has refined its adaptive brightness feature, allowing the Dynamic AMOLED 2X display to offer even more control. Now, your Samsung device automatically adjusts to the perfect brightness based on the surrounding lighting conditions, ensuring optimal viewing in any environment.

PWM dimming

AMOLED and OLED displays often struggle with color accuracy when the brightness drops below 90 nits. In such conditions, green may appear grayish, red can look faded, and blue might lose its vibrancy.

This happens because each LED on the screen controls both color and brightness. As the screen dims, the LEDs consume less power but still operate at a PWM rate of around 480 Hz. This results in a dull screen and inaccurate colors due to the lack of light generated by the LEDs.

To solve this, new AMOLED and OLED displays are using PWM dimming technology. While the LEDs still consume less power when dimmed, they now operate at a much higher PWM rate of 2,160 Hz. With this improvement, your eyes can no longer notice any issues. The color accuracy remains perfect, even when the brightness drops below 30 nits.

Working Procedure of the Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display

The working procedure for this high-end, futuristic display is a bit complicated. However, we are explaining the mechanism as simply as possible.

Structure

As mentioned earlier, OLED displays consist of millions of tiny LEDs arranged in a matrix. Each LED has three segments to represent the three primary colors: Red, Green, and Blue. Unlike LCDs, each OLED LED is independent and can be turned on or off individually.

Above the LEDs, there’s a thin glass layer that includes a touch sensor with air gaps in between, known as a digitizer. This digitizer enables touch functionality on the screen. Finally, the entire display is protected by another layer of protective glass, ensuring durability and a clear view.

Touch detection

The above-mentioned touch sensor layer has a film with electrodes. When you touch the screen, the electrodes of the film in that area touch the thin glass layer. This causes a voltage difference, which the display registers as a touch.

     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Displaying content

When displaying the time, an OLED display only turns on the mini-LEDs needed to show the clock, leaving all other mini-LEDs turned off. In contrast, the LCD displays require the entire screen to be lit, even the areas that are black.

With a Samsung Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, if you’re using a pitch-black wallpaper and dark mode, you’ll enjoy better battery life and more screen time, as fewer LEDs are lit.

Wrapping Up

The Samsung Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is currently the best display technology available on the market. Samsung has dedicated significant time and effort to perfecting this technology, ensuring it offers top-notch performance. All Samsung flagship devices feature the Dynamic AMOLED 2X, providing an unmatched viewing experience. While you may not notice the technology itself, the difference in display quality and efficiency is evident when compared to other screens.

Comment below what your thoughts are.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 — subtle and powerful — is not a futuristic modern device anymore, but a practical, premium, and all-day daily driver. This flex from Samsung in the foldable world comes with a handful of unique features. Let’s dive into real-life experiences with the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Table of Contents
Design | Display | Shooters | Performance | Battery Life | Miscellaneous | Who Should Buy?

Design

Slimmer, Lighter, and Balanced

Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a light and yet balanced chassis this time. Samsung refined it to near perfection in terms of build. Now, weighs around 238 gm, down from the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s 253 gm, instantly noticeable on the hands.

Hinge Mechanism

The hinge is tighter and cleaner. When closed, it looks like a perfect, narrow slab with almost zero gaps. Closes seamlessly with a satisfying snap. No ingress dust in 2025. Of note, has IPX8 water resistance but does not offer dust resistance. The satin matte finish rear is not only smooth but also grippy.

Display

Brighter, Crease-Less (almost), and a Treat to Use

Samsung has improved both displays significantly. Now, the displays are more interactive and responsive. Embedded features are worthy enough to get excited by.

Outer Display

The outer display is now 6.4 inches with slimmer bezels and a 21:9 aspect ratio, which feels like a regular smartphone. Typing, scrolling, and replying to messages feel less cramped. The outer display provides more comfort when used one-handed.

Inner Display

The 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable screen takes the spotlight every time it is opened. With up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness, LTPO 120Hz refresh rate, and better crease camouflage, the display feels far more immersive than its predecessors.

The Crease

The crease of the inner display is much subtler. Visually, not bothering anymore. Nevertheless, a curious eye should find some of it. However, Samsung’s new Gorilla Armor coating helps reduce reflections and adds scratch resistance.

The inner screen is squared off. Does not feel like a tablet now. It is great for split-screen multitasking, but not ideal for widescreen video content. You will notice black bars on the sides for Netflix and YouTube videos in full-screen mode.

Multitasking & UX

Speaking of multitasking, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 can run three apps simultaneously. You can float a fourth app over them. Interestingly, drag-and-drop between apps is faster and finally useful. You can draft emails while referencing Google Docs and Slack chats. And, this does not feel compact anymore.

The inner screen is not just bigger; it is smarter. The improved taskbar is more responsive, less buggy, and now fully customizable. Galaxy Z Fold 7 remembers app layouts when you reopen the screen, thanks to the UX.

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-format="autorelaxed"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-5559692671600743"
     data-ad-slot="6048597048"></ins>

Shooters

Great Setup with AI-Powered Tweaks

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 uses the familiar triple-lens system. Main camera module remains mostly the same, with the same bump as well.

— 50MP wide-angle shooter
— 12MP ultra-wide angle shooter
— 10MP 3x telephoto shooter

No major jump in hardware here. These cameras are really good. Of note, you should not compare these with the latest Galaxy S Ultra. Worth mentioning, the AI-powered image processing makes a real deal.

Image Quality

You are to get good daylight snaps with sharp and vivid colors. Skin tones look natural and fresh. The background can get a bit washed, which is obviously unnoticeable. Low-light photography has improved significantly. However, compared to photography-focused flagship smartphones, such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, or the iPhone 16 Pros, you may notice some missing details and minor quality issues with dynamic range. Again, not noticeable unless you really want to see.

New Camera Features

Speaking of new camera features, 2 of them are very interesting. I believe the Auto-Framing Pro is going to be widely used by everyone. In fact, this feature will save you time while editing videos.

“Auto-Framing Pro” — for better video centering during calls and vlogs. The feature is responsible for keeping the subject at the center of the viewport even if the subject moves.

“Flex Shot” — optimized for angled, half-fold shots using the hinge.

In-Display Shooter

Worth mentioning, the in-display camera is still bad for selfies. However, not as bad as a 480p photo! The right words should be — it works. Note that the in-display camera is never for selfies if you are thinking otherwise. For Zoom calls and Google Meet, it works great.

Performance

Fast and Built for Multitasking

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, this is a performance champ. Flawlessly handles split-screening three apps and floating a fourth, as mentioned. Interestingly, there are no heating issues. You can push the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with intense applications, and it will still remain calm. Play Intense games without a hitch.

Benchmarks ensure performance is inevitable in this foldable. Geekbench 6 score is ~2,100 for single-core and ~5,600 for multi-core (higher than iPhone 15 Pro Max on multi-core). Comes with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and several UFS 4.0 storage options to choose from, such as 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 introduces memory compression with background task optimization. App continuity between screens is smoother than ever. With the 4,600 mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 performs great and is responsive.

Battery Life

Okay for Most, Meh for Heavy Users

With the aforementioned 4,600mAh battery, the Fold 7 delivers:

— 6.5 hours screen-on time on mixed use
— 16 hours of video playback in the inner display
— Full-day performance for light-medium users

About 6.5 hours of screen-on time should be enough for a medium user. If you are a corporate service holder, you should end the day at 20% battery with the Galaxy Z Fold 7. For the heavy multitaskers and gamers, I suggest carrying a charger. Speaking of which, fast charging tops out at 45W, and wireless charging is a bit slower on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

     data-ad-slot="6048597048"></ins>

Miscellaneous

Colors, Features, and Deals

Color options are — Phantom Black, Icy Silver, and Burgundy Blue (limited edition)

Interestingly, the inner display supports the S Pen, which is sold separately. Also, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 does not have any in-device S Pen storage unit. A compatible case is the go-to if you want to carry the S Pen with your foldable. To add on this front, Samsung is also planning to leave the S Pen for Galaxy S Ultra starting from 2026.

Other features include Wi-Fi 7, eSIM-only, and Bluetooth 5.4. Flex Mode optimizations across Instagram, YouTube, and Google Meet. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Who Should Buy?

Fancy Corporates & Tech-nerds First!

Galaxy Z Fold 7 has not come with a lot of fancy and gimmicky new features. However, it has everything important refined and re-integrated. Unlike experimental foldable smartphones, this is a unique multitasker. A luxury device with a steep learning curve, a laptop that can be folded in your pocket, is the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Potential Users

This is not for students, photographers, or minimalists. However, from PDF signing to scheduling, chatting with colleagues to virtual meetings — this is a complete package. Flex Mode and rear camera preview allow enthusiastic content creators to capture solo videos. You love cutting-edge technology; this is what you should have in 2025. In a nutshell, for professionals and tech enthusiasts, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 offers a true all-in-one experience that can keep up with work, entertainment, and creativity all day long.

     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Wrapping Up

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is more than just another foldable — it is a premium device built for power users, multitaskers, and anyone who demands more from their smartphone. This is not a regular tablet or a smartphone — but the master of both. With improved design, sharper display, stronger performance, and longer battery life, the Z Fold 7 feels like the most refined foldable Samsung has ever made. While it may not be the most affordable option, it stands out as a future-ready smartphone that redefines what mobile devices can do.

Comment below what your thoughts are.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra maintains a similar outlook to its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, the overall chassis is flat and more box-shaped. Feels good in the hands and provides a better grip. The frame is now made of matt-finished titanium, and this titanium texture feels good in the hand as well. This matt-textured titanium is a very thin layer on the actual titanium frame. Per users’ reports so far in February 2024, it is easier to have dents on the frame of the Galaxy S24 Ultra compared to other titanium-framed smartphones.

Galaxy S24U is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. However, Per Samsung, this is “based on lab test conditions for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. Not advised for beach or pool use. Water and dust resistance of the device is not permanent and may diminish over time because of normal wear and tear.”

As Samsung makes the best display, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with a 120-Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Armor glass. Per Samsung, the display is “6.8 inches, accounting for the rounded corners; the actual viewable area is less due to the rounded corners and camera hole.”

Samsung advertised an anti-glare coating on the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s display. Screen glare is negligible compared to other high-end smartphones, even in direct sunlight. The display has ~88.5% screen-to-body ratio, 1440 x 3120p resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and ~505 ppi density. Peak brightness is 2600 nits with an Always-on display.

Shooters

Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 200-MP primary shooter, a big number! Samsung has improved photography with the Galaxy S24 series. Primary and selfie shooters are by far the best cameras out there in the market.

Primary shooters

The main camera module has 4 shooters on the back of Galaxy S24 Ultra, which include a 200-MP wide-angle, 12-MP ultra-wide-angle, 50-MP periscope telephoto, and 10-MP telephoto shooter. Galaxy AI uses Qualcomm Spectra™ for processing pictures taken by the Galaxy S24 series. Camera specs are discussed later.

Galaxy S24U clicks great photos. However, great photos come with great lighting conditions. Even though you are getting new cameras in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the video and image quality have not noticeably improved compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. When compared to other competitors, the cameras of Galaxy S24U are decent and way better. 2 things to mention about the cameras: 1. Now, the camera UI is nicely arranged and easy to use. 2. The camera captures photos faster.

As mentioned in the keynote of Galaxy Unpacked in January 2024, “features like nightography, super HDR, and video stabilization with Galaxy AI work on in-app cameras for Instagram and Snapchat.” Samsung also mentioned that for the 1st time, on Instagram, you can “upload HDR photos only by using Galaxy S24 devices.” However, to avoid photo and video compression on Instagram or Snapchat, you need to use the 1080p resolution instead of 4k. Samsung also mentioned that “certain applications may not support Super HDR.”

The 100X-Space-Zoom front may amaze you. Samsung stated that “3x and 5x distances are optical zoom. 2x and 10x distances are optical quality zoom. 100X Space Zoom includes 10x optical quality zoom and 100x digital zoom with Super Resolution technology. Zoom distances past 10x zoom may express some image deterioration.”

Selfie shooter

Nothing fancy, but the 12 MP wide-angle selfie shooter clicks good selfies. Even in low-light conditions, the photos are good to look at. For portraits, the background blur is now well-balanced with updates. Samsung stated that “results may vary depending on light conditions and/or shooting conditions, including multiple subjects, being out of focus, or moving subjects.”

Hardware

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (1 prime, 5 performance, and 2 efficiency cores) SoC with Qualcomm® Adreno™ 750 GPU (1 GHz). The CPU and GPU deliver up to 30% and 25% improved performance, respectively. This results in Qualcomm® Hexagon™ NPU’s 40% performance-per-watt improvement. You see, Galaxy S24U has a future-proof SoC, and performance is out of the question.

Software

Galaxy S24 Ultra features Android 14 and One UI 6.0. Samsung promised 7 years of security updates and 7 generations of OS upgrades. One UI 6.0 is buttery-smooth now. Animations are fluid with a 120-Hz refresh rate. Worth mentioning about dark mode on One UI 6.0, the black is not black anymore. It is more like a very dark grayish color when you are using an app in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Sound quality

Speaking of sound quality, voice notes are really good. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra does a great job with noise cancellation. Even while gaming, sounds are clear and bold, with less lag when using a pair of wireless earbuds. Samsung uses Qualcomm® Expanded Personal Area Network Technology (XPAN) for studio-quality audio.

Gaming

The Snapdragon Elite Gaming™ arsenal offers a “240Hz display for 240 FPS ultra-smooth, lag-free experiences.” This comes with 40% better Hardware-Accelerated Ray Tracing with Global Illumination, powered by first-in-mobile support for Unreal Engine 5.2.

Therefore, Qualcomm® Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy S24 Ultra allows intense gaming without dropping performance. GPU-hungry games like Genshin Impact run smoothly at higher settings. However, after playing games for a while, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra did not boil my hands. Samsung did really well with its new cooling technology. Samsung stated that the “vapor chamber installed on Galaxy S24 Ultra is 92% larger than that of Galaxy S23 Ultra.”

Connectivity

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with WiFi 7 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e/7) and Bluetooth 5.3, for which Galaxy S24 Ultra has a Snapdragon X75 Modem. Related to the Snapdragon X75 modem, Qualcomm says, “The Qualcomm® FastConnect™ 7800 Connectivity System is the only solution offering Wi-Fi 7 with High Band Simultaneous Multi-Link and Bluetooth® technologies.” Connecting to the internet and web browsing using Galaxy S24U is seamless. Social media platforms function well. Even streaming movies on Netflix and downloading from Netflix is faster. Bluetooth 5.3 also works well. Wireless earbuds connect faster, and the signals seem good.

Battery life

Galaxy S24U has the same 5,000 mAh battery as the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Per Samsung’s website, “typical value is the estimated average value considering the deviation in battery capacity among the battery samples tested under the IEC 61960 standard. Rated capacity is 3880 mAh for Galaxy S24, 4755 mAh for Galaxy S24+, and 4855 mAh for Galaxy S24 Ultra.” However, battery life has improved, even having a very powerful CPU and GPU. This is because the Qualcomm® Kryo™ CPU and Adreno 750 GPU offer 20% and 25% better power efficiencies, respectively.

You can easily squeeze around 8-9 hours of screen time by using social media (such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and so on) or browsing several websites at a time. You can have a quick 0-65% charge in 30 minutes as well.

Haptics and sensors

Well, last year, the haptics of the Galaxy S23 series were a disappointment to many users. Even though the Galaxy S24 series has the same z-axis haptic motor, haptics are way improved. However, haptics while typing have an unnoticeable yet slight delay. We think this can be improved through a software update.

The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S24U is faster than the Galaxy S23U. Well, Samsung used the QBT2608 sensor for the Galaxy S23 Ultra and the QFS4008 sensor for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This makes the current fingerprint sensor more efficient and faster. Other sensors are discussed later.

S Pen

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra stands out from the entire smartphone world just because of the S Pen. Unless other companies (ehem ehem, Apple) choose to add a stylus with their smartphone, Galaxy S24U will remain unique. The S Pen of the Galaxy S23 Ultra was great. S Pen, this year in 2024, is way better than that. Low latency and good friction of the S Pen offer a better user experience. However, Samsung cannot place the S Pen on the right side of the Galaxy S Ultra devices because of the large camera sensors. Apart from that, the S Pen is great to have with all its functionalities.

Color options

Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, Titanium Yellow, Titanium Blue, Titanium Green, and Titanium Orange. Some colors are only available if you buy Galaxy S24U via Samsung’s website.

Prices

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has price tags of $1299 for 256 GB, $1419 for 512 GB, and $1659 for the 1 TB variant. For a futuristic smartphone with all the highest digits in the spec sheet, this price is considerable. However, a little lower price tag would have been better.

Wrapping up

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is a great smartphone for everyday use. With great cameras, chipset, connectivity, performance, and battery life, you can use Galaxy S24 Ultra to maximize your productivity. Being future-proof, you can stick to Galaxy S24U for years. When you are going to spend a lot of money on a smartphone and wish to use that for years, Galaxy S24U should be the best option in 2024.

Comment below what your thoughts are.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is coming with a lot of features. Between the 4th week of January 2025 and the 2nd week of February 2025, Samsung may officially announce the Galaxy S25 Series. Several leaks and rumors about the Galaxy S25 devices are flooding the internet right now. Let’s check out what are the new features coming with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Design

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a new exterior design. The front glass panel will not be curved, and there will be more rounded corners. This more of a boxy-shaped smartphone will be very comfortable to use. Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with a newly polished grade 5 titanium frame. Screen size (162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm) is getting bigger but slimmer compared to Galaxy S24 Ultra (162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm). Camera rings are becoming wider and thicker, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The Galaxy S25U will of course feature the S Pen. Back in 2022, the Galaxy S-series started to feature an S Pen with the ultra variant. In 2025, the S Pen’s exterior will not receive much improvement; however, the user experience will be greatly modified and enhanced. New gestures and features for the S Pen will be packed with Galaxy AI.

Display

Let’s talk about the display, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with a larger display, 6.9-inch. The display will feature anti-reflection coating just like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This LTPO display will also feature QHD+ resolution (3088 x 1440 pixels), variable refresh rate (1 Hz – 120 Hz), 3,000 nits peak brightness, and an improved screen-to-body ratio (90.3 %), which will provide out-of-wold viewing experience. Samsung stays always at the top with its display technology.

Shooters

To discuss the shooters of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, there will be a new 50 MP Ultra-wide Shooter, with 1/2.52″ optical format and f/1.9 aperture. Apart from that, the 200 MP Main Shooter, 10 MP 3x Telephoto Shooter, 50 MP 5x Telephoto Shooter, and 12 MP Selfie Shooter remain the same as the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s. In this department, Samsung’s priority is on software. Galaxy S25U will offer enhanced image processing and AI editing features. Keep an eye to learn more about this soon.

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-5559692671600743"

Battery Life

Galaxy S25U will offer more screen time in 2025 even though the battery capacity will remain the same, 5,000 mAh. Speaking of screen time, users will get around 1 hour to 1.5 hours more with the Galaxy S25 Ultra compared to its predecessor. Will come with 45 Watt Fast Charging along with 25 Watt Fast Wireless Charging and 5 Watt Reverse Wireless Charging. Samsung mentioned that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be able to charge its battery from 0% to 65% in just 35 minutes. For moderate users, this will last a day without any issues.

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-5559692671600743"

Performance

Samsung’s goal with its Galaxy S25 series is to improve performance and make Galaxy AI efficient. Improved battery life and enhanced image processing are achieved only when a device can avail enough performance by consuming less power. Samsung is working with some high-end hardware and software for its Galaxy S25 series.

Hardware

Samsung has selected the 3-nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (also known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, released back in October 2024) SoC for the Galaxy S25 series. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC comes with 2 high-performance and 6 medium-performance Phoenix cores and has a maximum frequency of 4.32 GHz. This improves CPU performance by 44% and GPU performance by 40%. With this, the single-core and multi-core performance will be improved by 45% and web browsing will show a 62% quick response. For Multimodal Gen AI Assistance, this SoC has a Hexagon NPU, which has 45% improved performance compared to the previous generation SoC.

Back in 2022, Samsung discontinued its in-house SoC, Exynos. Several sources suggested that the Galaxy S25 series may come with Exynos 2500 SoC. Very recently, Geekbench 6 Scores were published on a few websites for the Galaxy S25 Series with the model number SM-S938U paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Scores: Single-core: 3,212 and Multi-core: 10,318. Therefore, Samsung is not working with the Exynos SoC for the Galaxy S25 devices.

Software

The Galaxy S25 series will exclusively receive OneUI 7.0 features and will be released around mid-2025. These features will be optimized especially for the Galaxy S25 series. On the other hand, Android 15 (released in October 2025) will power the Galaxy S25 series initially. Android 15’s features paired with OneUI 7.0 may make the S25U one of the popular smartphones in 2025.

Along with all the latest and greatest features, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with Al-enhanced Wi-Fi 7. Galaxy S25 Series may feature a 16-GB RAM. One can choose from 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB variant storage options.

Standard Color Options: Titanium Black, Titanium Yellow, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, Titanium Green, Titanium Blue, and Titanium Orange.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has rendered images leaked by OnLeaks and SmartPrix. Samsung is not considering any major design changes this year. However, the Z Flip 6 may feature some upgrades that you might find interesting based on the leaks.

Galaxy Z Flip 6’s thickness will increase from 6.9 mm to 7.4 mm, and the battery capacity will receive an upgrade.

Design and Build

Design-wise Galaxy Z Flip 6 will remain similar to its predecessor, Galaxy Z Flip 5. Per leaked renders the Z Flip 6 measures 165.0 x 71.7 x 7.4 mm. As the thickness seems to increase from 6.9 mm to 7.4 mm, the battery capacity will receive an upgrade. Apart from that, there will be 2 microphones at the top, the Z Flip 5 has 1 microphone. Otherwise, everything will remain, more or less, the same as last year’s Flip.

Display and Screen

Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a 6.7-inch inner Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a center-aligned punch-hole camera at the top. The bezels are almost identical to its predecessor. The cover screen will have a 3.4-inch AMOLED display. The 2 cameras and flash will remain at the same position on the main camera module like the Z Flip 5.

Battery

Galaxy Z Flip 6, as mentioned earlier, will receive an upgrade in its battery department. Per leaks, a 4,000 mAh battery, is an upgrade from the 3,700 mAh battery of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Wrapping up

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a few months away. Samsung is working actively on this device. However, recent leaks suggest a new sleek design with an “Ultra” variant on top of the regular one. Let’s dive into leaks.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will feature an “Ultra” model, with an S Pen.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra: Anticipated

Leaks suggest that this year will have 2 Galaxy Z Fold 6 models. The codename “Q6” represents the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. Hear me out, the codename “Q6A” probably represents an “Ultra” variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Currently, we just know that the “Ultra” variant will feature an S Pen. Up until now, Samsung has not said anything about the specs of these devices. We are yet to collect leaks on how Samsung will differentiate these 2 models. Stay tuned for that.

Image by – SmartPrix and OnLeaks

Design and Build

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6’s design has been leaked by SmartPrix and OnLeaks. It seems Galaxy Z Fold 6 will look more box-shaped with an overall sleek design. The foldable will be 1.4 mm shorter and 2.6 mm wider compared to its predecessor from 2023. Per SmartPrix, the dimensions of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm when unfolded. Per leaked images, there will be little to no gap between the 2 halves of the foldable when folded. Also, when unfolded, the device appears to be perfectly flat. If this is the end product, I must say, Good job, Samsung!

Image by – SmartPrix and OnLeaks

Camera Dilemma

In early February 2024, we received certain leaks about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 adopting Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 200 MP primary shooter. However, Samsung had difficulties with battery and camera sensor placements. On February 16, 2024, we got leaks indicating the 50 MP primary camera of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 from 2023 may also feature as the primary camera for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Leaks also stated regarding the 50-MP primary shooter instead of a 200-MP sensor on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 that it was decided “instead of decreasing the battery capacity.”

Image by – SmartPrix and OnLeaks

Apart from that, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera will be in the main camera module. A 10 MP front cover selfie camera and a 4 MP under-display selfie camera will also be there. Galaxy Club also suggested such leaks and rumors about the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Display and Screen

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 received criticisms for the narrow front cover display. The cover display will be 2 mm wider this year. It is expected that this foldable will go up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness. Samsung will incorporate a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with anti-glare coating into this foldable as well.

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-5559692671600743"

Hardware and Software

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 Mobile SoC for Galaxy. This is the same chip the Galaxy S24 series is currently rocking. Moreover, there may be either a 12 GB or 16 GB RAM on this device to provide more performance and efficiency, with superfast UFS 4.0 storage.

Image by – SmartPrix and OnLeaks

On top of this, Galaxy Z Fold 6 will debut with One UI 6.1.1 based on Android 14, which offers several foldable-specific features. Worth mentioning that Galaxy AI will offer more functionalities to the Galaxy Foldables shortly.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 came with a 4,400 mAh battery last year. Galaxy Z Fold 5 offered decent battery life. However, Samsung prefers to improve the battery life of their upcoming foldable. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will feature a ~4,600 mAh Li-Po battery. This leak also suggests that Z Fold 6 will support 25W fast charging like its predecessor.

Release date and Price

Considering the release date of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in late July 2023 instead of August 2023, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be available for purchase around mid-July 2024. Per leaks, Samsung is expected to keep the price of this foldable device stable at $1,800 for the base model. However, we do not know how the anticipated “Ultra” model will be priced.

Wrapping up

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to be more competitive in the smartphone market. However, Samsung did a great job with its foldables. Galaxy Z Fold 6 will surely be a great device with several upgrades from its predecessors. We are collecting more leaks and rumors, stay tuned to be updated.

Comment below what your thoughts are. Share with your family and friends if you find this article interesting. After 2025, you will need to pay for the high-tech AI features Samsung offers. Per Samsung, “Galaxy AI features by Samsung will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices.”

Call assist

Samsung Galaxy AI allows you to live translate calls, both verbally and on-screen. On Galaxy S24 devices, while on a call, you will see a button labeled “Call Assist.” Pressing that button allows you to choose between “Text Call” and “Live Translation.” Thus, you get to use real-time call translation powered by Galaxy AI. For this feature, Samsung says, “Live Translate requires a network connection and Samsung Account login. Live Translate is only available on the pre-installed Samsung Phone app.”

However, currently, Samsung has incorporated 13 languages into the real-time call translation. The languages are Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Thai, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Samsung promises to include more languages soon.

Live translation for calls

Upon choosing this option from Call Assist, you can have a normal conversation with your friend, while Galaxy AI will convert the conversation according to the language you speak and the language you are spoken to. That conversation is either shown to you on a split screen or verbalized to you.

You can change the languages as per your needs as well. Galaxy AI will remember that for future calls. This feature also applies if you are talking to someone who is using a non-Samsung device or even using a landline.

Live translation as an interpreter

Samsung did not just stop there. You can use live translation as your interpreter. You can talk to someone face-to-face, while Galaxy AI will convert your conversation according to the appropriate language for you and the person you are talking to. Therefore, you can travel anywhere in the world and talk to anyone you want, even if you do not speak their language.

You can also translate messages or phrases, as live translation is built into Samsung’s keyboard. Thus, chatting with a new friend is not that hard anymore.

Review of live translation

As of February 2024, we have had the good fortune to use the Galaxy AI for some time. Live translation works like magic. However, the time Galaxy AI requires to translate a text message of less than 160 characters is noticeable. You might experience a slight lag. Live translation struggles with some colloquial terms, too.

Worth mentioning that several popular acronyms (such as LMAO, BTW, IKR, NVM, and so on) are not translated properly. We tried using Google Translate. Interestingly, Google can translate these acronyms accurately in a sentence or sentences.

AI messages

Samsung incorporated Google’s Gemini Nano into the Galaxy S24 series. Now, you can send messages using AI. What makes it fun is that you can type a message and set a tone for it (for example, formal, excited, Shakespearean, and so on), and Gemini Nano with Galaxy AI will rewrite the message for you as per your desire. Now, you do not need to be a poet to write romantic and wonderful messages to your lover or friends; Galaxy AI will do it for you. You can use this feature to post exceptional and catchy social media statuses, like on Facebook or X, formerly known as Twitter.

Transcript assist

Samsung’s voice recorder app can now transcribe voice notes more efficiently. If you are in a meeting, you can just voice-record everything, and Samsung Galaxy AI will transcribe everything for you. The Galaxy AI recognizes how many people are talking and can arrange the conversation based on whatever each speaker says. Thus, you will get a cleaner transcription of your entire meeting.

Here is a catch, per Samsung, “Transcript Assist is only available on the pre-installed Samsung Voice Recorder app or files recorded using the pre-installed Samsung Phone app. The voice recording feature in the pre-installed Samsung Phone app may not be supported in some countries. Audio files must be under 3 hours in duration to be processed. The summarizing feature in Transcript Assist can be activated when a certain number of characters is met.”

For convenience, Galaxy AI will provide a summary of the entire voice note if you need it. You can also ask for headings and bullet points from the voice note. How cool is that!

Note assist

Samsung Notes app can arrange and generate productive notes using Galaxy AI. You can take a very rough note, just randomly typed or scribbled information. Galaxy AI will add headings and bullet points based on the contents of your note with just a single tap. You can even choose different styles and formats.

Worth mentioning, that using Samsung Galaxy AI, you can generate a summary of your notes and send them to your friends or colleagues. Thus, they do not need to go through the entire note. Speech-to-Text technology with Galaxy AI can transcribe, summarize, and even translate recordings.

Circle to search

Samsung Galaxy AI has an interesting feature — Circle to Search. You can circle anything on your Galaxy S24 devices after long-pressing the home button, and the Galaxy AI will search for that object on Google to feed your curiosity without switching the app you are on. It is not just limited to circling gestures; you can highlight, tap, or scribble on any object that you see on your screen to initiate a Google search. This is done with the help of Google Cloud and Gemini on top of Galaxy AI. This feature also works with videos. So, next time, when you see a YouTube Short with a good background on your S24 device, feel free to search for the place using Circle to search.

You can also invoke Circle to search and ask questions to learn more about your interest in something you have just seen on social media. Google will provide helpful, accurate, and high-quality information to you. Note that Google only searches for the object you are interested in. Thus, your privacy is intact while you are using Circle to search.

However, as per Samsung, “Product functionality may be dependent on your app and device settings. Some functions may not be compatible with certain apps. Availability of the service varies by country and language. Accuracy of results is not guaranteed.”

AI camera

When it comes to photography, Galaxy AI makes things come to life. Galaxy S24 Ultra with a quad-cam system initially captures a 50-MP photo with the new 5x zoom lens. Galaxy AI, then, crops the center of the photo to create a 12-MP high-quality photo. The NPU generates multiple frames and samples of the cropped 12-MP photo. All those frames and samples are enhanced and improved individually with the help of Galaxy AI. They are grouped in the next step to generate the best quality photo you can capture on a smartphone right now.

The ProVisual Engine uses Galaxy AI and determines objects in the viewport of Samsung Galaxy S24 devices. Before you press the capture button, Galaxy AI starts to accumulate and enhance details from the viewport, such as grasses, trees, and so on. Therefore, photos are ready to upload to social media as soon as you capture them.

Speaking of social media, features like nightography, super HDR, and video stabilization with Galaxy AI work on in-app cameras for Instagram and Snapchat. For the 1st time, on Instagram, you can upload HDR photos only by using Galaxy S24 devices.

AI photo Editing

If you take a photo with glare or poor lighting around you, Galaxy AI will detect that. When you open the gallery app, Galaxy AI will suggest editing options that use ProVisual Engine; you just need to tap the Galaxy AI button for that.

You can select any object to remove from the photo you have taken. You can also align photos, and Galaxy AI will fill out the voids as if the photo were never aligned. Speaking of filling out voids, if you move an object or a person from one place to another in a photo, Galaxy AI will fill up the void as well. However, photos edited with Galaxy AI will have a watermark and metadata added to avoid any unusual consequences.

Instant slow-mo

Previously, for capturing slow-mo videos, you needed to select the slow-mo video capturing mode on your Galaxy devices. Now, with Galaxy AI, you can just long-press on a video from your gallery, select the desired part of that video, and you can have a slow-mo clip of that. Galaxy AI will work on generating the necessary frames to create the slow-mo clip. This adds extra functionality to every video you capture from now on.

Android Auto

In the keynote of January 17, 2024, Samsung mentioned that they have improved the user experience of Android Auto with Galaxy AI. While driving, if you receive any individual/group messages, Galaxy AI will summarise the conversation for you. Android Auto will suggest relevant replies, and you can select a suitable reply without touching your phone. To avail of this feature, Android Auto needs to be updated to the latest version.

Apart from that, you can send your ETA to your friends from the prompted dialog box of Android Auto. If your friend sends you an address or location, Android Auto can lead you to that destination with proper navigation just with a single tap.

Upon collecting data, Galaxy AI will suggest healthy life choices so that you can stay healthy. Stay tuned to learn more about that.

Wrapping up

With the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Samsung introduced the most advanced AI for smartphones in 2024.
